Como ejemplo pueden citarse las vibraciones de estructuras (puentes, edificios, \u00e1labes de turbinas, etc.) sometidas a acciones din\u00e1micas que pueden comprometer su integridad, propagaci\u00f3n de ondas ac\u00fasticas en recintos que pueden generar molestia, oleaje y agitaci\u00f3n en d\u00e1rsenas portuarias que pueden complicar las actividades de carga y descarga de mercanc\u00edas. Por tal raz\u00f3n una intensa actividad de investigaci\u00f3n fue dirigida al desarrollo de sistemas de atenuaci\u00f3n de vibraciones.<\/p>\n      <p>En particular, se han dise\u00f1ado diversos dispositivos resonadores con \u00e9xito en diferentes aplicaciones. Sin embargo, a\u00fan tiene inter\u00e9s estudiar el dise\u00f1o de los mismos en busca de mejora en su eficiencia (ampliaci\u00f3n de la banda de atenuaci\u00f3n, control multimodal, etc).
