A partir de la simulaci\u00f3n de sus condiciones de servicio, se lograr\u00e1 conocer mejor la forma en que var\u00edan algunas de sus propiedades f\u00edsicas y mec\u00e1nicas y las transformaciones de sus estructuras cuando el metal ha estado en contacto con un medio corrosivo, sometido a altas temperaturas y diferentes estados de tensi\u00f3n. Se estudiar\u00e1 principalmente la tenacidad a la fractura, el comportamiento a fatiga y la termofluencia (&#8220;creep&#8221;), y la fragilizaci\u00f3n por hidr\u00f3geno.<\/p>\n          <p>En el caso concreto de la termofluencia, la construcci\u00f3n de un equipo de dise\u00f1o propio permitir\u00e1 comparar comportamientos de aleaciones bajo estados diferentes de tensi\u00f3n, dado que hasta el presente solamente se hac\u00eda mediante torsi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n          <p>El conocimiento de estos fen\u00f3menos permitir\u00e1 seleccionar los materiales m\u00e1s adecuados para las condiciones de servicio y los tratamientos termomec\u00e1nicos y\/o termoqu\u00edmicos que optimicen sus performances. Tambi\u00e9n posibilitar\u00e1 evaluar la vida residual de un componente de planta o de equipo.
